I chose BRAVERY and I got a Beautiful Friendship

"You use steel to sharpen steel, and one friend sharpens another."  Proverbs 27:17 MSG My word for 2018 is BRAVE.  I wasn't sure what this would look like and as I look back on my life, I do not think of me as BRAVE.  But sometimes life changes, and as you reflect, you see what you didnt see before. Today I want to share with you a time when I was BRAVE and didnt realize it.  This step of BRAVERY has blessed me with a beautiful friend...who is very important to the future of Motivated by More. Finish 2018 STRONG

We are into the last quarter of the year.  I feel like the year has flown by!  I still have things I want to accomplish this year and have made some laser focus goals on a few things because not only do I want to finish 2018 strong, I want to hit the ground running in 2019.  Goal setting is so important in order to be successful! Galatians 6:9 says "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Paul is reminding the Galatians

These are easy to make & a crowd pleaser!  My friend Liz gave me this recipe and it is a go to staple for my house, especially during football and baseball season.  Kids and grown-ups gobble these up!  Honestly it will take you 15 minutes tops to make these.  They keep in the fridge for 10 days...if they last that long!   1 Cup Toasted Old Fashioned Oats (toast in oven for 10 minutes at 375 degrees) 1/2 Cup Peanut butter (or any other nut butter, my favorite is Almond Butter) 1/3 C Honey 1 Cup Toasted Coconut Flakes (you

Be Still.

Last year I had an injury that I struggled with for almost ten months.  It was frustrating, uncomfortable and time consuming.  I tried many things to heal my muscles and finally had great success in physical therapy. As a lover of fitness and athlete in my younger years, it was hard to adapt to moving in a different way.  Therapy was a very humbling experience.  I was used to doing sprints, burpees, kettle bell swings, and a variety of other exercises that required big, fast moves, yet I was told to pull back and try a new way.  It was

Drive Thru: Quick, Convenient, Void of Commitment

Max Lucado describes himself as a prayer wimp. I have a similar condition; I suffer from DTB. It is a self-inflicted disease, but curable. Let me give you some background on this affliction and how you too, might be a bona fide Drive Through Believer: Each morning, I pull into the drive through lane at my local fast food emporium for my large Diet Coke and some sort of breakfast item. I get breakfast on the go; it’s convenient to pull up to the window, order, pay, stick a straw in it and dispose of my breakfast dishes once I
